Yosemite, California

Destination Yosemite (Sierra National Forest) for an event I am teaching at.  Traveled 206 miles.  Part of it was very narrow windy roads that need to be taken at a slower pace.  What a bonus to be able to take time to actually head into the park and enjoy the immensity of this location.  Arrived to decent weather amongst the pines.

Larger spaces gave room for this busy location amongst the Pines.  Not super great on solar due to the trees but full hookups was nice to have.  We stayed last this location for two weeks.  This RV park is mainly for people who have membership but they accept Good Sams.  Very high priced at 60.00 a night but the location is great with the lake being right around the corner and you can even walk to it. The Pines Resort is the entrance prior and has a small store, few spots to eat and post office.  All within walking distance from this RV park.  Has showers, laundry, a pool (it was too cold to jump in), play area for kids and is pet friendly.  You can also get propane fill up at office.  Easy spots to pull into or pull throughs.  Big Rig friendly for sure!  You can also have packages shipped to office for pickup.  Very friendly staff and you can call and book.  it is first come first serve but it wasn’t an issue to find a spot.  Cell/Internet service is not great but we got by.  Very busy location with Rvers pulling in but not a nuisance.

DONT miss the entrance to this location.  With cell being sketchy GPS can be deceiving.  If you miss the entrance it will be a bit before you can turn around.  DO NOT take small streets on a curve to turn around a 43 footer…you dont even want the story!  Fun adventures in the making.

The entrance to Yosemite is about 20 minutes away.  Once you get into the entrance its a nice drive to destinations.  DO NOT enter this part of the park with a Big Rig.  The tunnel will be the end of that idea.  Drive in with a truck or car or find a different route.
When do you decide its time to go…when a Blue Jay starts building a nest in the 5th wheel

Two week stay at this location.
Full Hookups
Big Rig Friendly
Sucky Cell
Fuel prices $3.79 to $3.93 gal
