Corning Calif – Heritage Park

Nothing to see here…thats what I keep telling people that ask.  After a very sweet time at Woodward Reservoir where we could watch the sun come up and sunsets.  The sound of the frogs and crickets at night and the sound of the geese with their little goslings in tow we have moved north.  We are now smack-dab in an RV park right off of I5.

Some great things about this RV park…its quiet (other then an occasional car or RV driving past either coming or going), clean, maintained, conveniently located and the ground crew and office ladies are so amazing.  What a bunch of hard workers.  If you are looking to have packages mailed to you this is the place.  They do not guilt you when boxes arrive.  They even write your name on the box to include a smily face.  The bowl of candy is always full on the counter allowing my daughter to dig through to get her favorite…every day.  We set out our propane bottles on the “curb” and they swing in and get them, fill and return.  They have a small fenced dog run and supply poop-bags.   I am pleasantly surprised by this location.

Plenty of shade trees and level sites

They do have WIFi and you can hook up to it.  Not for streaming but its available.  There is a cable hookup if you carry a cable with you.  The full-time tenants that stay here long periods of time are pleasant and the area is clean.  You can even wash your RV on site too, now how many places can you say allow you to do that?!

Things to do in the area..nothing!  Fun local place to eat and do some quick shopping in The Olive Pit…has everything Olives there to buy.  Enjoyed the burger and sandwich with olives on it.  Nothing fancy but the food was good.

Post office right down the road for mailing stuff.  Safeway within walking distance, Starbucks across the street, Ace hardware and a dollar store close by.  All you need is packed little town.  A mile or two down the road is a truck stop for fuel and a truck wash.

Up the road aways you will find the Sacramento river.  A nice place to get some down time and enjoy the water.  We have an inflatable Kayak arriving tomorrow and will be getting wet soon!
